Cabin To Coastal

Our Cedarbank Project was one of our first projects as a design build company and it has had a lasting impact on us. The homeowner fell in love with the bones of the home but the interior was dated and looked like…well, a log cabin. One of the first things we did during demo was remove the knotty pine that covered the walls in the great room. WHAT a difference that alone made! (More on that in another post)

What we tackled next was the laundry room. It was very small however, it had a shower in the corner by the window that we were told was for the previous owner’s dog. We decided to shift everything down and open up a coat closet to create this awesome boot bench:
